Compact Discs Kanye West 808's & Heartbreak (on which he doesn't rap. it's all kinda downbeat, brokenhearted, auto-tuned songs. by songs i mean sung. by a robot.) Killers Day & Age Feist Reminder Deluxe Edition with remixes & so forth REM Murmur Deluxe Edition with complete live show from '83 Ludacris Theater of the Mind and you can now physically buy the David Byrne & Brian Eno collaboration Everything That Happens Will Happen Today. it was only digital before. cds are so much better than iTunes, for real. 

Vinyl Nothing today, but Wednesday we will have new shipments from Revolver, Forced Exposure, and Get Hip... so lotsa LPs then. DVDS No new releases for us. Should we have gotten Hancock? Any interest in Still Life?

New Records Thursday

Just in: Madlib Beat Konducta Vol. 5 LP Nodzzz Nodzzz LP Thee Ohsees Peanut Butter Oven EP Harmony Korine Collected Zines Book (Mr. Lonely is out on DVD now too) plus some Low vinyl reissues, four new Norton 7" including one by King Khan, and restocks on two records I personally like, El Kinto's Circa 1968 and Krysmopompas' Heute Schlafen-Morgen Aufwachen. And the Dead C Dr503 reissue is back again! -adam

Rats Lps!

Hey folks, we just got in 10 copies of the new reissue of the first Rats record. The Rats were Fred and Toody Cole of Dead Moon/Pierced Arrows' first band together in the early 1980's, and their albums have been out of print forever. I think this pressing may be limited to 500 copies, so we might not get any more. And 5 copies are already sold/spoken for, so you need to act quickly (call or email if you want to reserve one). Oh, and yes, this is yet another Mississippi release, and I believe it's licensed by the Coles as well. -adam

New Releases for Week of 11/18/08

Kind of a slow music week... just the new Nickelback CD, the new Killers on vinyl (CD next week), and a new Jay-Z 12" single. If you think we missed something important (like the Max Tundra CD that we will get soon), please let us know. There will be some noteworthy DVDs debuting on the new release shelf tomorrow: Wall-E, Tropic Thunder, Gonzo-Life & Work of Hunter S. Thompson, Up the Yangtze, and Encounters at the End of the World. Goth Records in the 98 cent bin!

We have a bunch of goth & industrial records that I'm gonna put out Thursday evening, mostly into the 98 cent bin! They are from a heavily played 80's/early 90's collection that was found abandoned in a basement. We bought some lps that aren't too beat up as well... and there are some slightly scratched Cure records and a bunch of trashed Beatles, things like that.
